The Roller Crusher is a specialized compression-type machine designed for the medium and fine crushing of moderate-hardness materials. By utilizing two counter-rotating rollers, it delivers a high-torque squeeze that ensures a uniform product size while significantly minimizing the generation of unwanted fines (dust).
The roll crusher operates through a combination of compression and shear. The drive system powers two heavy-duty rolls rotating in opposite directions, drawing the feed material continuously into the crushing zone through friction. The material is reduced along its natural fracture planes by the compressive and shear forces generated between the rolls. Once the target size is reached, the crushed material passes through the preset roll gap, minimizing unnecessary re-crushing and fines generation. The roll gap can be adjusted to meet specific product size requirements.
